Artisan Breads
Backwards Bread offers French artisan breads. Our breads follow a traditional French baking process and formula. These yeasted breads are high hydration and use a sourdough pre-ferment—yielding stout crusts with an open, soft crumb. Please refer to our baking schedule to see when you can enjoy a loaf of each.
Operating as a French artisan bakery allows us to make wonderful baguettes and batards, which perfectly pair with pasta, olive oil, or a simple pad of butter. These crusty masterpieces are sure to stick in your mind once you’ve tried them.
